Three Times The Charm?

Another allegation, another Clarrisa Ocampo, another trial, another downfall; It’s all too familiar as if we all travel back in time. But did we really travel back in time? Since Estrada’s fall, since EDSA two did we ever step forward for change or did we just remain in our world fooling ourselves in the changes we made.
But this brand of soap opera now is becoming tiring. Another EDSA? The sequel was bad enough how much more a part three. They say it’s three time the charm but not in our country. It’s bad enough that we’re the laughing stock of Asia but now were making fools of ourselves by thinking that another extra legal means of changing the leadership is the great remedy for all of our woes.
But then again the possibility of an EDSA 3 at this point of this drama is remote. There’s no civil society, no business communities that would put down the administration.
Admittedly the poor have no power and this can be seen at the supposed “EDSA 3” which showed how the poor can easily be extinguished.(which I don’t look at us being another EDSA) Perhaps this is why the two previous EDSAs didn’t really push us to the future we wished to have. I don’t want to antagonize the rich since I am also part of that world but in reality the rich do make matters worse for our country. Every since power changed from the Americans to the Filipinos it was a death sentence to us all. The power didn’t really go to the people; instead power was given to the few people who lorded over the lands.
I hope this ends through legal means. I hope another EDSA does not sprout. Tape or no tape right now another extra legal change of leadership will be bad for us.

I saw a lot of military trucks at WOW Philippines, offering these "joy rides", somehow it gives me the jitters of a coup plot going on...

It just proves to say how weak our system is.
Are we serving
The country?
The system?
Or ourselves...?
